I at last bought my Rock River Arms PDS Piston Driven System pistol provided by my area transfer dealer. I have been saving my pistol dollars for about a 12 months as it was announced in early 2010. I haven't had a opportunity to shoot the PDS yet, but I've already been accumulating a few components for the PDS pistol while I was saving my dollars. Here are the specs when supplied from my on-line RRA dealer from Rock River Arms
Caliber: Rem .223/ 5.56 NATO for 5.56mm & .223 cal., Upper Receiver: Proprietary, with Extended Top Rail, Charging Handle: Proprietary Ambidextrous Non-Reciprocating, Barrel: 8" Chrome Moly, 1:9 twist, Muzzle Device: A2 Flashhider/ 1/2-28 TPI, Trigger: Rock River Arms NM 2 Stage, Grip: Hogue Rubber Pistol Grip, Handguard: Injection cast, Ribbed, Magazine: 30 Round, Weight: five pounds, Overall Length: 17.5 in .
The RRA Piston Driven System Pistol has a retail price of $1385.. I wound up buying it on line for much less. Most dealers within my area wanted retail plus which did not set well with my price range. After I get to the shooting range I will have some follow up information on accuracy and what ammo I am using. I forgot to mention, the accessories I purchased was a Veridian green dot to mount on the rail just forward of the handguard and a Eotech 552. I don't know which sort of optic I will go with yet. Whichever way I am going, green laser or red dot, it won't be wasted because I have a handful of Rock River Arms Weapons within the safe that I'd love to try either on. I'm off to the shooting rangeā¦.
